This sounds kind of silly, but yes we are going to talk about the importance of having your own logo on file. For many businesses the company logo was designed by someone else and then you were given the files for use in different formats. Where are those files today? Do you know? I hope you do. If not, please get in touch with your artist and have them send you your files.
“But it’s on my website. Can’t you just get it off of there?”
No. Well, yes we can, but it’s not the right kind of file for anything but digital use. If you are having someone create a piece of print advertising for you, they need to have a high resolution or vector version of your logo. Having the best quality versions of your logo ensures that your brand is being represented in the best possible way. The file types that you should have of your logo for print purposes are: .eps and a high resolution .jpg. File types for digital purposes are: .png with transparent background and an RGB .jpg. Another thing to think about is if your logo will be on a light or dark background. Do you have a different version if being used on a dark background or image? Is your logo only to be used on top of brand specific colors? These are all things that we, the creative agency, will need to know.
We strive to create the most dynamic and impactful work for your business to grow. We work within your branded guidelines to make sure your business has consistency throughout the marketing campaigns created for you. Don’t have official brand guidelines? No problem!
